Finding Your Twin Mama Mantra

I think every new twin mom, and probably every new mom, should find their mama mantra. This is something you can repeat to give yourself what you need in the moment: strength, patience, reassurance. Whatever it is that you need.

Finding your twin mama mantra: what I say to myself in the trying moments of motherhood.

My main mantra is a favorite quote from Winnie the Pooh: You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.

I love this quote so much I have it hanging in the babies' nursery.Finding my twin mama mantra: what I say to myself in the trying moments of motherhood.I think this quote applies amazingly well to life in general but especially to motherhood. Being pregnant with twins and giving birth were the hardest things I've ever done. I've shown myself that I am braver and stronger, both mentally and physically, than I thought. I know I can face whatever comes my way on this parenthood journey. I grew two humans. I gave birth to them. I've been breastfeeding them for over a year and a half. And, they're pretty terrific little people.

As a newish mother, I may not always know what I'm doing but I know my babies. If I feel doubtful, I remind myself that I'm smarter than I think. I've learned to trust my gut and my mama heart and do is what is best for my babies in that moment. As a twin mama, I'm braver, stronger, and smarter than I've ever been.
