I have painted quite a bit with the babies (ugh, I need to start calling them the kids but I just can't!). However, they've always painted in their high chairs, where I can contain them and the mess. They absolutely love painting and they love to point out their paintings that are hanging in our kitchen.
I decided to jump out of my comfort zone and get messy with their painting because I knew they would enjoy it. I also wanted to see what they would create when given a bigger space to work. It was totally worth it!
I have been meaning to make a felt board for the babies for ages. They like the felt boards we have used in classes and at the library. I can think of so many ways to use a felt board with them and I finally got around to actually making them each a felt board. I just love them! They were so easy to make, took probably less than 10 minutes, and cost less than $5 each! Now I just need to start on some projects to use with the felt boards...
I have mentioned a few of our favorite Easter books here and there but I wanted to share a roundup of all of our favorite Easter board books. You know I love books and I may use holidays as an excuse to add to our home library. I just can't help it! I like to have a basket of themed books for the babies to look through so these, plus a few picture books are currently in our Easter books basket.
While I was stocking up on Easter supplies at the dollar store a few weeks ago, I grabbed a deviled egg tray on a whim. I wasn't sure what I would do with it at first but there had to be something! Over the past week, the babies have been having so much fun putting eggs into cartons that I decided to try a color matching game with them using the deviled egg tray.
