5 Fun Halloween Board Books

I have been having so much fun reading Halloween books with the babies! They have no idea what's going on in terms of Halloween yet but it's still fun. I decorated the mantle using Halloween books from our home library and library books.

Here are some of my favorite Halloween board books:

1) Llama Llama Trick or Treat - We are huge Llama Llama fans so of coures I had to grab Llama Llama Trick or Treat! It's short and sweet.

2) Duck & Goose, Find a Pumpkin - Not necessarily a Halloween book, more of a fall story but we love it all the same. Duck and Goose want to find a pumpkin and they look everywhere! You can see how much Baby A loves {to eat} this book. I've written about Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin for What We're Reading Monday.

3) Room on the Broom - This is my personal favorite. I actually read it all year round. I love everything by Julia Donaldson and I've written about Room on the Broom before for What We're Reading Monday. If you love a good rhyming book with a fun story to boot, this is for you!

4) Five Little Pumpkins - Do you know the Five Little Pumpkins song? I remember it from elementary school and we listen to the Raffi version so I was excited when the babies were given Five Little Pumpkins. The song is just as catchy in a book version and the babies like it. As much as I like Dan Yaccarino's version, I just found out there's a Pete the Cat version that I need to find ASAP!

5) Mouse's First Halloween - I adore this book! Mouse encounters a lot of spooky things on Halloween but with more exploration, they turn out to be not-so-spooky after all. The sounds and movements in this book are fun to act out as you read!

Does your family have a favorite Halloween board book?
